SECOND RESEARCH CONFERENCE ON EMPIRICAL ISSUES IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE & FINANCE

Track for Ph.D Students 

To encourage young researchers who are currently pursuing PhD in the area of international trade and finance a separate track is added in the Conference. The session is open for all doctoral students pursuing PhD in Indian universities, fellows in Institutes like IIMs  ( or recently submitted their thesis but degree is awaited). IIFT will bear train travel expenditure up to five such national research scholars. The best paper from the Doctoral Students will also be awarded cash prize and a certificate. The travel grant and best paper will be awarded by the Selection committee and same will be informed to the participants. In case of joint authorship of a paper (with a faculty), student will be eligible for the selection of travel grant if she/he will personally travel to Delhi for presentation. Though the grant and award is meant only for Indian students, foreign students are also encouraged to participate in this section.

Along with the submission of the paper students are required to send a proof from the competent authority of the university stating that they are either currently enrolled in the PhD programme of the university or they have submitted thesis but the Degree is awaited.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organisation to help professionalise the country's foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analysing and disseminating data; and conducting research. Today it is one of India's most prestigious business schools.

The Conference aims to have intellectual discourse on issues related to international trade and finance and provide platform to the researchers for communicating their views on their intellectual standing of empirical research in international economics.
